requirements
───────────────
We recommend you at least a P75 or a 6x86 (Windows-free).
We don't know how the demo behaves on slower machines, but we think
much of the syncronisation will fail on them. We know that most of
what you see could easily be done on a 486, but if you have fast
machines, you become lazy...
And be sure to have about 600kb free base mem (probably more for SB).
EMS for soundblaster could help as well.
some info
────────────
This demo was made in a terrible hurry. (Have you read that before?)
We heard about the BDN96 demo party on the 1st of December, so we only
had two weeks to make a demo for the competition.
We finally finished it one day before the party, after several sleep-
less nights (crossbone screwed up his physics test because of that)
and hundreds of hours of hard work.
I (crossbone) must apologize for some really slow routines. Although
all inner loops are written in asm, there was no time to optimize
it any further. Some approaches I used are not very appropriate, so they
sometimes can't be optimized very much at all.
We had to leave out the setup screen and only made a simple soundcard
selection (Prace made the code, but we haven't built it in yet).
Only three soundcards are supported: GUS, SB16 and SBpro. We had to
leave out the others because of the size limitations.
-> There will be a final version, with more supported soundcards, a setup
screen and maybe some optimizations/bugfixes.
